Issued 1985-1999

Book

Polson Enterprises, webmaster of RBBI has just released a 3 volume spiral bound book containing over 80 U.S. patents covering developments in contrarotating recreational marine drives from 1985 through 1999. Several foreign patents are included as well. The collection is a MUST HAVE for engineers, marketing professionals, patent attorneys and marine technical libraries.

How can this book help me?

Engineers
You can rapidly identify patents in the particular area you are working in (transmissions, propellers, gear cases, lubrication, bearings, exhaust, water inlets, couplings, shifting). You can use this existing knowledge base to build upon and avoid re-inventing the wheel. Complex design and test data presented in several of patents could save you hundreds of hours in duplicating prior research. You can rapidly survey existing patents to identify potential infringement issues as well as determine if your designs are unique and may warrant patent protection.

Marketing Professionals
Advance notice of possible forthcoming products in this field provided by these patents can help you better prepare to compete with them, especially if you use our free quarterly updated service detailed in the special offering below. Compare your technologies to those of your competitors. Those considering entering the field, can rapidly learn of the current intellectual property rights and who holds them.

Patent Attorneys
You can use this collection in conjunction with very recently issued patents to rapidly determine potential infringement issues. This book will give you much greater confidence in searching existing art. Especially if you use our free quarterly updated service detailed in the special offering below. You can identify companies that might be interested in licensing your technology or those from which you might wish to license technology.

Marine Technical Librarians
This book allows you to provide your clients with the latest information in this area. If your clients are currently involved in or expect to be involved in the marine drive business your facility need this book!

International Patents: Several are contained in Volume 1. However; this is NOT a detailed compilation.

Over 80 U.S. Patents: Each patent includes the first page of the patent as furnished by the USPTO (U.S. Patent & Trademark Office). This first page includes a sketch of the device and the patent abstract. This is the most complete collection of recreational marine contrarotating propeller patents ever assembled! Many patents include several additional drawing pages and text. Our intent was to provide full copies of the most significant patents and sufficient pages of other patents to understand their basic operation.
