GigaPet Looney Tunes Pet

January 26, 1998 Tiger Electronics announced the new GigaPet Looney Tunes Pet. We are especially anxious to learn how the pet "responds to your voice" and about the "secret codes".

We have heard a number of complaints about the display being too dark to see. Several of them are reproduced in our Looney Tunes Giga Pet Problems Section.

Some preliminary information from Tiger's Gigapet website is below.

Features include:

Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Taz, Tweety, Yosemite Sam, and Road Runner all in one game! Plus special appearances by Marvin the Martian, Wile E. Coyote, Sylvester.

Play with them, feed them, train them, clean them. They even respond to your voice. Training your favorite characters to do the action that's made them so hilariously famous! This pet also has cool sound effects plus special secrets you unlock with hidden codes.

Subject: Looney Tunes giga pet = bad design

I got a Looney Tune Giga pet and could hardly see the character.
The background is dark and the LCD doesn't show well. I returned
it and got another one; that one was even worse. Has anyone
else had this problem?

How do I find a good one? Thanks for any help you can give me.

The display was so faint that you couldn't really see the Bugs Bunny character very clearly. The whole concept was confusing and stupid!! They (Tiger Toys) did not put much thought into this virtual pet before they marketed it! I took it back to the store for a refund. The characters are nearly impossible to see -- or is this just me? The actions, playtimes, games, etc are great, if you can see the screen. Thanks.!

Date: Sun, 15 Mar 1998 From: Bob To: polsong@virtualpet.com Subject: Looney Tune Gigapet Warning I have recently purchased the Looney Tune Gigapet at KayBee stores. Big Problem: The screen is so dark as to be illegible! An e-mail to Gigapet acknowledged the problem without any suggestion as to a cure. Have you a similar problem? Thanks for your web site.
